One Dead After Crash in Henniker, New Hampshire

The crash occurred Sunday night

One person died following a crash in Henniker, New Hampshire, on Monday night.

According to the New Hampshire State Police, the crash occurred on US Route 202 and NH Route 9 around 6 p.m. on Sunday night.

A trooper from the NH State Police Troop C noticed a blue Toyota Rav4 Sports Utility Vehicle traveling at speeds above 100 miles per hour on Route 202 and Route 9.

The trooper was unable to catch the vehicle due to the speed and notified the Hillsboro Police Department.

Officers from Hillsboro were also unable to stop the vehicle.

Members from the Henniker Police Department, Merrimack County Sheriff's Department, and Troop D of the NH State Police also attempted to stop the vehicle but were unsuccessful and terminated the pursuit.

The Merrmiack County Sheriff's Department received a call shortly after the pursuit was terminated for a crash involving the Rav4 and three other vehicles on Route 202/Route 9 one mile prior to the junction with NH Route 114.

Once on scene, officers determined a Ford Expedition, Nissan Xterra, and a Nissan Pathfinder towing a camper were also involved in the crash.

The driver of the Rav4 was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead on scene.

The driver and occupant of the Nissan Xterra were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The other individuals reported no or minor injuries.

The identify of the victim is being withheld pending notification.
