Vermont State Police have arrested a Connecticut woman accused of driving drunk and crashing into a Westminster home, knocking it almost a foot off its foundation.
Police say the incident happened Thursday night around 9 p.m.
They say Stephanie Howe, 38, of Stratford, Connecticut, veered off the road and struck the home, causing extensive damage.
Howe performed field sobriety tests and refused a preliminary breath test. She was arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence.
She was processed and issued a citation for DUI and gross negligent operation.
She was also issues a VCVC for driving too fast for conditions and causing an accident.
Howe will appear in court at a later date.
