PD: Burlington Target Store Deemed Safe After Threat

Police in South Burlington, Vermont, say they have deemed the Target store in the University Mall safe after a reported bomb threat. 

According to police, staff at the Target reportedly received a bomb threat at about 2:00 p.m. Saturday.

Responding officers deemed the store safe and reopened it after an investigation.

Other Target stores in the region also received similar threats, police said.

The investigation into the origin of the threats is ongoing.

In a tweet Saturday afternoon, police had asked people to stay clear of the area as they investigated the threat.
