Vermont State Police say a series of brush fires along Interstate 91 northbound Monday evening is being investigated as arson.
The fires were located between the Vermont and Massachusetts state line and mile marker 12.8 and were started around 6:20 p.m.
All of the fires were extinguished by responding fire crews.
A suspicious individual was spotted in the area, but no description of the person was immediately available.
