Police Chief and Wife Injured in Fatal Vermont Crash

Vermont State Police say a northern Vermont police chief and his wife were injured in a crash that killed a 48-year-old man.

State police officials say St. Johnsbury Police Chief Tim Page and his wife Colleen Page were driving in Groton Saturday afternoon when 48-year-old Davan Ostrover crossed the center line and collided with Page's car.

The Caledonian-Record reports Ostrover was pronounced dead at the scene. The 60-year-old Tim Page was treated and released for a broken hand and broken rib, while his wife remained in serious condition Sunday.

Police say Ostrover was not wearing a seat belt, but Page and his wife did. Both vehicles were totaled.

The investigation is ongoing.
