Police: Couple Caught With More Than 700 Bags of Heroin

A Vermont couple is accused of drug trafficking after state police say they were caught with more than 780 bags of heroin.

Vermont State Police say 41-year-old Tai Conklin and 37-year-old Ciree Nash, both Eden Mills residents, were pulled over for following a car too closely on I-91 in Springfield Wednesday morning, according to necn affiliate WPTZ.

A state trooper found 788 bags of heroin and about an ounce of cocaine after searching the car.

Conklin and Nash have been charged with trafficking heroin, transporting heroin and possessing the controlled substances; they're being held on $25,000 bail each and will be arraigned March 22.
