Police in Vermont are investigating the suspicious death of a woman.
State police said the death of 31-year-old Melanie Rooney of Proctor was reported shortly before 5 a.m. Investigtors were gathering evidence at the scene on Market Street, where Roone lived.
Authorities said the incident was isolated and the public was not in danger.
An autopsy was scheduled Monday to determine the cause of Rooney's death.
