Vermont State Police are asking for the public's help in establishing a timeline of events and actions involving a woman accused of shooting a firearms instructor in the face and abdomen.

Thirty-one year old Veronica Lewis of Worcester, Vermont, pleaded not guilty to attempted first-degree murder in the June 29 shooting of 48-year-old Darryl Montague at his Westford, Vermont, home, where he runs a firearms business. Police said Lewis, scheduled for a lesson, also brought a hammer with her.

Investigators said Monday they are looking to speak to anyone who saw Lewis and how she may have left and travelled to Burlington.

Police ask if anyone recalls giving Lewis a ride or seeing her board a bus near Westford or Essex to call Vermont State Police Detective Michael Kamerling at 802-878-7111.
