A Westford, Vermont, woman is facing charges after police say she assaulted her 2-year-old daughter by throwing her and pinning her to the ground.
Police say the charges against Emily Pouriot, 38, stem from an incident at a doctor's office in Williston.
Witnesses say they say Pouriot squeeze her daughter, throw her to the ground and pin her with her ankles up over her shoulders.
The child was evaluated and was released to her father without treatment.
Pouriot is facing charges of domestic assault, cruelty to a child under 10 and disorderly conduct
