A Burlington, Vermont, police officer has been placed into custody following an investigation into an alleged domestic assault.
Police say Nathan Harvey has been on the force since 2008 and was taken into custody by Vermont State Police Wednesday.
Harvey has been placed on paid administrative leave. The details of the alleged assault have not been disclosed.
Burlington Police say once state police complete their investigation a full internal investigation will also be conducted.
