Police Seek Woman Who Used Fake Gold Coins

Officials are investigating after a clerk at the D&R General Store in Cambridgeport, Vt. accepted false $20 gold coins

Police in Vermont are looking for a woman they say passed fake $20 gold coins as payment to a Cambridgeport store.

Vermont State Police say a new clerk at D&R General Store accepted three of the coins Sunday.

The suspect, who is wanted for fraud, is described as a woman of about 20. Police say she is thin with straight brown hair and acne on her chin.

According to police, she was driving a small black car that was called "trashy" by a witness.
