A northern Vermont man accused of trying to exchange sex photos with a girl online has pleaded not guilty.
Prosecutors say 42-year-old Bradley Baril, of Moretown, pleaded not guilty Thursday in Vermont Superior Court in Barre to felony charges of luring a child and cultivation of marijuana. He also denied a misdemeanor count of disseminating indecent materials to a minor.
Authorities say they raided Baril's home Thursday as part of the investigation and discovered a grow operation with 35 cultivated marijuana plants in the basement.
A judge released him on conditions, including limiting his access to children and the Internet.
The Burlington Free Press reports Baril faces up to 21 years in prison and up to $511,000 in fines if convicted.
