Remains that were found last week in Vermont have been identified by authorities as those of a missing man.
According to the Chief Medical Examiner's Office, it identified the remains as Michael Webber, 29, of Barre City, using dental records.
Webber was last seen on March 16 at the Good Samaritan House in Barre City, a missing persons report published by the Barre City Police Department said.
The report also said that authorities did not suspect foul play but that there were concerns for his welfare.
Additional searches of the area where the jawbone was found will resume when the weather conditions permit it, officials said.
The cause and manner of Webber's death are undetermined. The investigation is ongoing.
On Tuesday, authorities announced that they were investigating the discovery of human remains found in a wooded area of Williamstown.

State police said a person hunting on Nov. 11 contacted authorities just before 3 p.m. after he came across remains believed to be a lower jawbone.
The remains were collected by the Vermont State Police uniform and Bureau of Criminal Investigation detectives and taken to the Chief Medical Examiner's Office in Burlington who later determined the jawbone was human.
State police conducted a further search of the area on Nov. 14 and 15 but no other remains were located.
Dental records were submitted to the Medical Examiner's Office for three other people reported missing but authorities said none of the records matched the jawbone.
