State Police: 190 Bags of Heroin Found Inside Seized Vehicle

Police say a southern Vermont man was arrested after officers conducted a search of his previously seized vehicle and discovered 190 bags of heroin hidden inside.

Thirty-seven-year-old Jeffrey Adamski pleaded not guilty to heroin trafficking, transporting heroin into Vermont and multiple counts of drug possession on Friday.

The Springfield resident was initially stopped for speeding on state Route 5 in Rockingham on Dec. 7.

Vermont State Police say during the traffic stop a trooper found that Adamski was in possession of a small amount of marijuana and had 2 grams of cocaine tucked into his sock. Adamski's vehicle was then seized.

After obtaining a search warrant, police say 190 bags of heroin were found concealed in the car's air vent two days after the initial traffic stop.
