Vermont Bank Robbed Twice in 2 Weeks

The suspect in both robberies fled on a red mountain bike

Police in South Burlington, Vermont, are looking for a man who robbed a bank after showing a note demanding cash to a teller.

Police said the man walked into Merchant's Bank at about 9:20 a.m. Monday. After leaving with money, police said he fled on a red mountain bike. No one was hurt.

The man was described as about 5-foot-10, wearing a gray sweatshirt with black shoulders and chest area, and camouflage pants.

It's the second time in recent weeks that the same bank has been robbed, according to WPTZ-TV. On Nov. 24, a man with a similar physical description and a face bandage passed a note to the teller demanding cash. He was also seen fleeing on a red mountain bike.

Police have not said if they think the two robberies are related.
