Vermont Ferry Service Suspended Due to Lake Ice

Service will resume once the lake is clear of ice

Ferry service between Charlotte, Vermont, and Essex, New York, has been suspended because of heavy ice on Lake Champlain.

The service will resume once the lake is clear of ice.

The Lake Champlain Transportation Company says the service between Grand Isle, Vermont, and Plattsburgh, New York, will continue to run 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The ferry route between Burlington, Vermont, and Port Kent, New York, starts up again on June 11, after ending Sept. 7.
