Vermont Health Chief to Give Update on Website Costs

Vermont's health care reform chief is going to be giving lawmakers an update on the costs of the state's Health Benefit Exchange

Vermont's health care reform chief is going to be giving lawmakers an update on the costs of the development and implementation of the state's Health Benefit Exchange.

Lawrence Miller is expected to give the update Tuesday on the costs of developing the exchange through the end of last year and the projected remaining development and implementation costs through the end of this year.

Since its launch in the fall of 2013 Vermont Health Connect has been plagued by problems and it is still not fully functional.

In October, Miller warned the online health insurance marketplace could run nearly $20 million over budget.
