Vermont Police ID Man Hit, Killed by Amtrak Train Over Weekend

Vermont State Police have identified a man who was struck and killed by an Amtrak train over the weekend.

Police say 25-year-old Kevin Kenyon of Braintree was alone and appeared to have been walking on the tracks with his back to the train Saturday morning.

They say the crew saw Kenyon on the tracks in Braintree, but couldn't stop the train in time. They say he didn't appear to respond as the train approached. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No one aboard the train was injured.

The incident appears to have been an accident.
