A Maine woman who had last been heard from Monday night in Vermont was found safe Wednesday, authorities confirmed.
Vermont State Police had requested the public's help in finding Erica Lavoie, 28, of Scarborough, Maine. She had spoken to a friend Monday night in Mount Tambor. That friend called police following the call, concerned for Lavoie's well-being.
Lavoie was due to return to Maine on Wednesday and reported missing.
