Vermont State Police Ask for Public's Help in Fatal Crash Investigation

Vermont State Police are asking for the public's help as they investigate an accident on Interstate 89 in Richmond that left one man dead and a woman seriously injured.

Police say 23-year-old Karri Benoir of Barre was driving a 2004 Toyota Corolla south Thursday evening when it crossed the median and ran head-on into a 1999 Honda Civic driven by 30-year-old Brendon Cousino of Richmond. Cousino was killed and Benoir was hospitalized with serious injuries.

Now State Police say they would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the actions of the drivers or vehicles just before the crash, or who has any other related information.

Anyone with information about this incident is being asked to contact Senior Trooper James Fox at the Vermont State Police Williston Barracks at 802-878-7111.
