A Vermont apartment building fire remains under investigation after a loud boom was reported.
MyNBC5 reports authorities in Winooski say they received calls about a loud boom from neighbors on Union and North streets just before 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Arriving crews from Winooski and Colchester saw smoke and fire coming out the property's basement.
Residents from the building's five units were able to safely leave the building, including a dog and a cat, according to MyNBC5.
No one was injured in the fire, which reportedly caused minimal damage to the building, and the investigation is ongoing.
