Warm and Windy Start to the Weekend

Showers to return Sunday

A gusty southerly wind continues to send mild air into New England today, with highs for many surging into the 60s. It will be a bit cooler for south facing coastlines where that wind acts as a seabreeze.

Skies will remain mostly cloudy, and there may be a few spot showers in northern New England, but the vast majority of the day will be dry. Sunny breaks will be most widespread during the afternoon.

It stays mostly cloudy and breezy tonight, with temperatures in the 40s and 50s for many.

Sunday will start dry, and will also still be warm in the morning. Temperatures will be in the 50s and 60s during the first part of the day. During the midday and afternoon hours temperatures will drop as a band of rain slides through from west to east.

That cool air continues to flow in Monday, with highs in the 40s under mostly sunny skies.

Clouds will increase a bit on Tuesday as a coastal storm takes shape to our south.

That storm will be nearby on Wednesday, and may bring some rain to New England. It’s still a bit too early to know exactly how many impacts we’ll see from the storm, since the track needs to be sorted out in the coming days.
