Woman in Pajama Pants Arrested for Stealing Fireman's Bag

Jasmin Sanchez of Laconia, NH, also a person of interest in false fire alarm

A New Hampshire woman was arrested early Monday morning after police and fire officials responded to fire alarm activation at the Downtown Parking Garage in Laconia.

Upon arrival, officials searched the area, but no fires were found. Personnel then went over to one of the staircases, where they discovered a fire alarm pull station was activated.

While in the process of trying to turn the fire alarm off, a member of the fire department stated that a fireman's bag was taken from one of the ladder trucks by a woman wearing pink and white polka dot pajama pants.

The woman was discovered walking on Pleasant St., wearing a Laconia Fire Department sweatshirt and a knit hat. She was also in possession of the black bag.

Jasmin Sanchez, 34, of 6 Spring St. was arrested for receiving stolen property. She is also a person of interest for the false fire alarm. She will be arraigned in the 4th Circuit District Division Laconia Court.
