One person was killed and five others were hospitalized Friday morning following a two-vehicle crash in Boston's Jamaica Plain neighborhood.
The crash happened just before 5 a.m. at the intersection of Columbus Avenue and Heath Street.
Boston Police said one victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Five victims were transported to area hospitals to be treated for various degrees of injuries. Each victim is expected to survive.
The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
Part of the area from Reggie Lewis Center to Centre Street and Heath Street to Centre Street remains closed to traffic while police continue to investigate the exact cause of the crash.
