1 Dead After Early Morning Crash in New Hampshire

Police in New Hampshire have confirmed that one person died Tuesday morning after an early morning car crash in downtown Manchester.

Manchester Police Lt. Brian O'Keefe confirmed around 11 a.m. that a driver involved in the crash had died.

Manchester police reported on Facebook around 7 a.m. that a serious crash had occurred in the area of 430 Lake Ave. According to police, the crash happened just before 3:30 a.m. The road was closed Tuesday morning as crews worked to clear the scene.

The age and identity of the victim are not known at this time pending notification of the next of kin.

The circumstances leading up to the crash are also unclear at this time.

Police are expected to release more information later Tuesday.
