Victim Killed in Crash on I-95 in Westwood, Massachusetts, Identified

The accident happened around 7:30 a.m., causing major delays

A man was killed in a 2-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 south in Westwood, Massachusetts, on Wednesday morning.

State police said the crash between a pickup truck and a Jeep happened just before 7 a.m., closing two lanes and causing major traffic delays during the morning commute.

The pickup truck rolled over as a result of the crash. The driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to Norwood Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. He was identified as 62-year-old Joseph Boran, of Boston.

The driver of the Jeep, a 40-year-old man from Nashua, was taken to Norwood Hospital, evaulated and released, state police said.

All lanes of I-95 south were later reopened.

A state police accident reconstruction team responded to the scene. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
