Police in Newton, Massachusetts, are looking for a man they consider suspicious after he allegedly tried to lure a boy to his car.
A 12-year-old was walking on Beethoven Avenue Tuesday between 6:15 and 7 p.m. when he says a man leaning against his car asked if he wanted a puppy. The man told the boy that the puppy was in the trunk with food and a leash, police said.
The boy walked past the man without further incident, police said.
The suspect is described as a man between 20 and 40 years old.
No other similar incidents have been reported, police said.
The incident is under investigation.
