20-Year-Old Man Dead After Serious Chester Crash

One person is dead after a serious crash in Chester early this morning.

Connecticut State Police were called to the intersection of Route 145 and Route 148 for a one car crash around 4 a.m.

According to police, 20-year-old Paul Josiah Brock of Westbrook was unable to stop at a stop sign, and drove across Route 148 into a tree. He was trapped inside.  

Brock was extricated from the vehicle, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no additional passengers on board.

Lifestar was called to the scene, but was cancelled shortly after.
