3 Injured in Crash During Wild Police Chase in Lynn

Three people were injured Wednesday evening after a police chase ended in a crash in Lynn, Massachusetts.

Police said they tried to stop a vehicle on Joy Street around 7 p.m. The driver allegedly backed into the cruiser and drove off.

As police followed the car, it crashed into another vehicle on Essex Street. The collision was captured on video.

Three people were injured, one seriously, after a car crashed while fleeing police.

The man driving the second vehicle was hospitalized with serious injuries. The female driver and male passenger of the suspect vehicle were also taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Police said they recovered a gun from the car that fled from officers.

Charges are pending against the suspects, who have not been named. They will appear in Lynn District Court Thursday, according to police.
