Juveniles Videotaped Attack, Robbery of Woman in Roxbury: Police

Police say one teen recorded the attack on a cell phone

Four juveniles are facing charges in connection to an unarmed robbery in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood which they filmed on a cell phone.

Police said officers responded to a call for a robbery at 9:11 p.m. Tuesday in the area of 800 Parker St. When officers arrived, they said a group of males and females fled the area.

A female victim told police she had been attacked and robbed by the four individuals while she was walking. The victim said one of the attackers shoved her to the ground before two others joined in kicking her several times. The fourth suspect allegedly recorded the incident on a cell phone.

The victim told police the suspects took her cell phone and then fled the scene on foot. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Police were able to arrest the suspects and recover the victim's phone. Arrested were a 17-year-old from Mattapan, a 14-year-old Mattapan boy, a 13-year-old Roxbury girl and an 11-year-old Dorchester girl.

The suspects are expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court on charges of delinquent to wit; unarmed robbery and assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon. It's unclear if they have attorneys.
