We had another area of low-pressure track south of us this Tuesday morning.
Lingering clouds and drizzle will rule the forecast Tuesday, especially on the coast with a north, northeast flow. We'll gradually break out of the cloud cover from west to east.
Our temperatures stay in the 40s and 50s Tursday, which is about 10 degrees cooler than average for the last day of April.
By the way, we ended up as the 14th rainiest recorded April in Boston and 4th rainiest in Worcester. Boston recorded 21 days with measurable rain this month while Worcester recorded 20 days, which are both records.
Our rainy pattern will continue since scattered showers return Wednesday, but hold off until late evening and overnight. Most of the day stays dry with highs in the upper 50s and low 60s. Clouds will also increase as the day goes by.
Thursday will be a tad damp with an onshore wind holding temps in the 40s, and a few showers will move through. Steadier rain moves through Friday as highs reach the mid-50s and continue to rise Saturday.

[NATL] Extreme Weather Photos: Record Heat Threatens Europe
Waves of rain remain in our forecast through the weekend. Timing is a tad uncertain, but our models hint that showers linger into Saturday morning, then a larger wave or rain moves through Sunday.
Highs will be in the low 60s Saturday, near 60 Sunday depending on the storm tracks. Our high temperatures will be closer to normal next week, in the low 60s.
Perhaps a longer dry stretch starting Monday, at least longer than 24 to 36 hours. Stay tuned!
