She was able to get out of the car and the man fled, taking the victim’s son from a prior relationship with him, according to police.

The victim had been stabbed more than 30 times and was transported to Hartford Hospital, where she went through emergency surgery, police said.

Police said a nationwide alert was placed on the vehicle registration, surrounding towns were briefed on the incident and the boy was entered into a nationwide database as missing-endangered.

Around 5:30 a.m., police in Worcester, Massachusetts contacted Hartford police and said they found the boy and the car, according to Hartford police.

The little boy did not appear to be harmed, but was taken to and area hospital to be evaluated.
