70-Year-Old Man Arrested for Making Threats to Kill Police: PD

A 70-year-old man was arrested Monday by police in Wareham, Massachusetts for allegedly making threats to kill a police officer.

Richard Lepage of Douglas allegedly expressed his desire to kill a police officer to a Wareham town official. He also allegedly claimed to have the means to do it.

Police were informed of the threat and were able to locate Lepage near the intersection of Main and Cedar streets in Wareham. He was placed under arrest for an existing warrant and charged with the threat.

Lepage was processed at Wareham police headquarters and then transported to Wareham District Court. No bail information was immediately available.
