An Illinois-based company has issued a nationwide recall of two kinds of its Oreo Fudge Cremes products because the snacks contain milk, an item not included among the ingredients that can cause serious or life-threatening reactions in people who are allergic to it.

Mondelez Global LLC said it is recalling original and mint varieties of its Oreo Fudge Cremes sold in the United States and U.S. territories of Puerto Rico, St. Croix and St. Thomas. The company said it has received one report of an allergic reaction to date.

An advisory statement on the label says the snacks have been "manufactured on equipment that processes milk," but milk is not listed among the ingredients.
