Access to Park in Redding Suspended Because of Bears

Police are not allowing visitors into Topstone Park in Redding Thursday morning after a mother bear and two cubs were spotted.

In a Facebook post, Redding police posted a photo of bears in a tree and urged people to be cautious in the area of the park. They said the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and the Redding park and recreation department was notified.

Police said they are suspending access into the park until the bears move along.
