Additional Thunderstorms Could Be Strong

Additional strong thunderstorms will be possible Thursday. They won’t be as widespread as they were on Wednesday, but one or two storms could be potent.

Temperatures will be hot, so expect highs to reach the upper 80s and low 90s for most communities. Humidity levels will continue to be oppressive.

A cold front will move through early Friday morning and could feature some showers and downpours in southern New England. Showers will clear out by the afternoon and pleasant air will return.

The weekend looks beautiful. Low humidity, comfortable temperatures and a lot of sunshine make for a pleasant time. High temperatures will only reach the low to mid 70s both Saturday and Sunday.

Where days with above average temperature have outnumbers the days below, it will be a bit of a shock to the system.

The following week will remain unseasonably cool. It appears we will be free from any widespread severe weather.

As far as the tropics, there could be some trouble in the southeast over the next few days. Interests along the east coast should continue to follow the situation closely.
