Bear Caught After Being Spotted Near Mass. Elementary School

A bear has been caught after he was spotted wandering near a Massachusetts elementary school on Thursday morning.

Auburn police reported a school on Swanson Road was in safe mode around 10:30 a.m. after a bear was seen in the vicinity.

The bear was tranquilized and covered with ice in an effort to cool him down. The bear will taken to the western part of the state when he's ready to be relocated by state wildlife officials.

According to environmental police, the bear had been booted out of the den by his mother.
