Jackie Bradley Jr. was named the American League Player of the Week on Monday after his impressive play at the plate.

In seven games, the Red Sox outfielder batted .479 (15-32) with three home runs and 15 RBIs.

The first-time winner of the award is also on a 21-game hitting streak, which happens to be the longest active streak in the majors.

Bradley also helped Boston win six of seven games last week against the Athletics and Astros.

The Red Sox (24-14) are tied with the Orioles for first place in the AL East. They start a new series with Kansas City on Monday night.
