New expanded safety netting, dugout-style seating and some new food options are among the improvements made to Fenway Park ahead of the 2018 season.
Boston Red Sox officials unveiled the changes on Tuesday morning, two days ahead of Thursday's home opener.
Here's a quick look at some of the new additions:
Expanded netting: One of the most significant changes is the new protective netting, which has been extended beyond the dugouts at Fenway. All 30 major league teams have extended protective netting for the 2018 season after a series of incidents where fans were badly injured after being struck by balls and bats.
New concession offerings: There will be a number of new food offerings at Fenway this season, including a pulled chicken taco trio; tater tots; specialty Regina's Pizzeria pizza; clam chowder, chili and chicken noodle soup at ice cream stands during the colder month of April; "Jane Dough" cookie dough; Creme Brulee French Toast for select weekday games; Table Talk Pies; an expanded build-your-own salad bar; and a new healthy deli and veggie stand featuring veggie dogs and burgers, salads and other pre-made snacks.
Jim Beam Dugout: This a field-level group seating area located just beyond the Red Sox dugout on the first base line. The new space gives fans a view similar to the players by attempting to recreate the dugout experience with bats, helmets and a giant Gatorade cooler. The new space is sold on a game-by-game basis and can accommodate groups of 25 people.
Sam Deck: The right field roof deck has been rebranded as part of a new partnership with Samuel Adams. The space, which features a large bar and lounge seating, will offer a variety of beers, many from Samuel Adams. There will also be numerous Samuel Adams inspired food items, like nachos covered in Samuel Adams infused beef chili.

Sammy's on 3rd: This replaces the former 3rd Base Saloon in the third base concourse area. It has been rebranded with Samuel Adams signage, and will feature numerous craft beers.
New row of seats in left field: A new row of seating in left field was added just past the Visitors' Dugout between field box sections 72 and 79, adding a total of 30 new seats. The additional row of seats is located behind the newly expanded protective netting system.
A refreshed Coca-Cola Corner: The club worked with Coca-Cola to refresh and enhance the spaces that exist in left field on the State Street Pavilion concourses. Among the new features are green artificial turf flooring, picnic tables and chairs and a vintage Coca-Cola trailer.
