Brady on 2018 Patriots Return: ‘I Certainly Hope So'

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady said he hopes to return to the team for the 2018 season.

Brady was asked if he will be back next season by a reporter following the Patriots 41-33 Super Bowl loss to the Eagles on Sunday night.

"I certainly hope so," Brady responded. "I wouldn’t see why I wouldn’t be back."

Brady threw for 505 yards and three touchdowns, but was unable to engineer one his vintage comebacks.

"Well, no one's feeling sorry for us. We'll evaluate like we always do. Everyone I'm sure is pretty tired after a long year. That's football. That's what it is," he added.

The loss dropped Brady's Super Bowl record to 5-3.

"They're all disappointing. I mean losing sucks. You show up and you try to win and sometimes you lose. That's the way it goes," Brady said. "I'm disappointed and wish we could have done a better job, but we fought to the end and I give the Eagles a lot of credit.

"They played a great game, they have a great team and those guys played really well."
