The system that brought our first taste of summer and summer storms,, the last couple days has now moved east. We have a new high-pressure system coming in from Canada with a delightful Tuesday and Wednesday.
There’s a bit of a breeze Tuesday morning, from the northwest gusting past 25 mph, but the sun is shining for most of us and the temperature limbs to near 70 degrees in the afternoon. The pollen count that was knocked down with showers the last two days is back up Tuesday.
Mostly clear skies Tuesday night, with low temperature in the 40s and 50s. The exception is some areas of Maine, where there may be a few spots of fronts and temps in the 30s.
High pressure moves right over New England Wednesday. That means less wind and a light sea breeze. Otherwise, very similar with mostly sunny skies and a high in the 60s to low 70s.
The storm responsible for severe weather in the middle of the country, and snow in the Rockies, is on the move toward Canada. It’s losing energy quickly and by the time the warm front associated with that storm arrives in New England Thursday, it is diminished to just a few showers here by the afternoon.
It’ll be cooler with the wind coming off the ocean, mostly cloudy Thursday with showers and a high in the 50s and 60s. Friday looks mostly cloudy and we may continue the streak of rainy Fridays. Showers likely high temperature in the 50s and 60s.
Hopefully we continue the streak of nice Saturdays. But there is a front around Saturday night and Sunday so we may end up keeping our streak of damp Sundays alive, too.

It’s a low confidence forecast for the weekend, but at least it looks warmer with temperatures close to 70 degrees. We will be fine tuning as we get closer in our First Alert 10-Day Forecast.
