Bridgeport Special Ed Teacher Accused of Having Sex With Second Student

A former Bridgeport high school special education teacher who was accused of having a sexual relationship with a student and arrested in June is accused of having a sexual relationship with a second student and new charges have been filed.

Laura Ramos, 31, of Milford, turned herself in to police Tuesday morning and was charged with second-degree sexual assault.

According to police records, a student went to school faculty and staff members in June and reported that Ramos had reached out to him for marijuana and talked to him about having a sexual relationship with an 18-year-old student.

In a series of Snap Chat messages, Ramos complained to the witness that another male student wouldn't answer her text messages or have sex with her, according to police documents.

Ramos would bring food to the student and the two "make eyes at each other like flirting," according to the witness.

In June, Bridgeport police arrested Ramos at Central High School on suspicion of an inappropriate sexual relationship with an 18-year-old high school student. In a statement to police, Ramos told police that her relationship with the teen started as flirting in December 2016 and “progressed to sexual intercourse,” several times until April, according to the arrest warrant application.

About a week after charges were filed, police learned another student might also be involved in a relationship with Ramos.

The second victim told police he was a special education student of Ramos' and would talk to her through text messages and Snap Chat and they would work out at the gym together, according to documents.

In April, the second victim said he was out at drinking a restaurant with Ramos and they went to his car and had oral sex.

He also said he would sit next to Ramos at her desk during class and "rub her leg" or "feel her up," the documents said. He also said Ramos would mark him present when he would skip class.

The victim said he went through Ramos' phone to see who else she was speaking to and believes she had sexual relationships with more students but could not name them, police documents said.

Ramos told the victim that she loved him and that they would have a special relationship after he graduated, but he couldn't tell anyone about it or she would be fired, court documents state.

Ramos resigned from Central High School in June.

In July, Ramos pleaded not guilty to the charges linked to the 18-year-old student.

She is due back in court on Aug. 14 for both cases.
