18-Year-Old Found With Gun, Cash and Apparent Drugs on Soldiers Field Road: Police

Guerrero faces a number of charges including possession of a firearm without a license to carry and carrying a firearm while under the influence of drugs.

A teenager speeding down Boston's Soldier Field Road Thursday was arrested with a loaded handgun, a bag full of what to be marijuana and more than $700 in cash, police said Friday.

William Guerrero, 18, was pulled over after a state trooper saw the speeding vehicle, and the officer noticed that Guerro was possibly impaired, Massachusetts State Police said in a statement.

Guerrero, from Brighton, allegedly made "furtive" movements that left the trooper feeling concerned for his safety.

The officer searched Guerroro and his car and found a 9mm, semi-automatic pistol and a loaded, 13-round magazine, according to the police statement He also discovered "a substance believed to be marijuana, a digital scale, THC concentrates, plastic baggies and more than $700 in cash."

Guerrero faces a number of charges, including possession of a firearm without a license to carry and carrying a firearm while under the influence of drugs, police said.

He was arraigned in Brighton District court Friday and is being held on $5,000 bail. It wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney.
