Man With 68 Priors Arrested Again in Cape Cod Motel Assault

A Massachusetts man with nearly six dozen prior arrests was taken into custody again on Tuesday after a violent disturbance at a West Yarmouth motel, according to police.

Frank Joseph Fagone, 34, of Buzzards Bay was charged with assault and battery after police responded to the Econo Lodge on Route 28 just after 10 a.m.

Yarmouth police said officers were initially dispatched to a hotel room for a disturbance. When they arrived, Fagone and other people were arguing over alleged drug use.

The argument led to Fagone allegedly attacking the other person and hotel property being damaged.

Police said inside the room, officers found sandwich bags, rubber gloves, and a cutting agent on one of the beds — all items they say are consistent with the distribution of narcotics.

During a frisk of Fagone, police said they found a folding knife sticking out his front right pocket and a large bundle of cash.

Fagone was arrested and taken to Barnstable District Court for arraignment. It's unclear if he has an attorney.

Police mentioned in their release to the media that Fagone has 68 prior arrests on his Massachusetts Criminal record.
