Regulators Give Green Light for Recreational Marijuana Sales at 2 More Stores

Customers in Massachusetts will have a chance to buy legal recreational marijuana from two more locations in the coming days.

The Cannabis Control Commission gave I.N.S.A., Inc. of Easthampton and Verilife of Wareham the green light to start selling recreational marijuana to adults 21 and older as early as Friday, the commission announced Monday.

The companies will become the fourth and fifth stores to be permitted to sell recreational marijuana since cannabis sales were legalized by Massachusetts voters in 2016.

NETA in Northampton and Cultivate in Leicester opened their doors to recreational marijuana customers on Nov. 20, and Alternative Therapies Group in Salem began selling to all adults 21 and over this past weekend.

All locations were previously permitted to sell medical marijuana to patients.
