Coast Guard crews discovered four bodies in the water off Hollywood Beach Sunday morning.
Boaters spotted two male bodies floating in the water about 20 nautical miles east of Hollywood Beach around 10 a.m., officials said. A Coast Guard Station Fort Lauderdale crew responded to the report and found another male and a female.
"Our main concern is to make sure there's no one else out there in distress that might need help," Petty Officer Mark Barney said.
Barney said a Coast Guard plane reported what appeared to be as many as three other bodies in the vicinity of the victims, but officials said Monday they were no longer looking for other victims.
No vessel belonging to the victims has been located, officials said.
The Coast Guard said the victims have not been identified and it's not clear if they may have been migrants.
The crew from Coast Guard Station Ft. Lauderdale along with a HC-144 aircraft from Coast Guard Station Miami and the Cutter Dolphin were still searching for any possible people in distress late Sunday.

"I really can't speculate, there are so many possible scenarios right now until we find something else out there, if we find something else out there or until we start getting information back from the medical examiners," Chief Petty Officer Ryan Doss said. "Hopefully tomorrow we'll be able to start forming a better idea of what happened out there."
Florida Fish and Wildlife and the Broward County Sheriff's Office are assisting the Coast Guard in the investigation.
