Chilly Winds of Change Blowing

Mountain snow continues Saturday

Gusty northwest winds will blow during the day on Saturday, ushering in cooler air across New England. Highs will reach the 30s and 40s as gusts approach 30-40 mph at times, especially over Cape Cod and the Islands.

The northwest winds will continue to produce upslope snows across the high terrain of Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine as well. The highest peaks will see a few more inches. That’s welcome news for ski country!

Winds relax on Sunday, with partly cloudy skies, but it will be chillier still. Highs will be in the 30s to near 40. That includes the Patriots game in Foxborough.

Monday stays in the same area temperature wise, but a few light flurries and sprinkles will move through. Those won’t be enough to cause any travel issues.

A few more batches of rain and snow showers will arrive mid to late week, with an even bigger blast of cold arriving next weekend.
