Crews Battle 2-Alarm Fire in New Haven

Firefighters battled a two-alarm fire in New Haven overnight.

The fire department said fire broke out at 1471 Chapel Street just after midnight on Wednesday. When firefighters arrived they found heavy flames and smoke coming from the home.

The fire is under control at this time but it is unclear if anyone was inside the building or if anyone was injured.

The fire marshal is on scene investigating the cause.
