A man was arrested and charged for allegedly raping a coworker overnight at Curry College in Milton, Massachusetts.

Curry College said in a statement that they "took immediate actions, including informing the Milton Police Department" after its Department of Public Safety received a report of a sexual assault that allegedly happened on campus on Thursday, July 26.

Milton police then arrested Mario Larrondo, 50, of Tampa, Florida, Thursday on the school's campus. He was charged with one count of aggravated rape and ordered held on $50,000 bail at his Thursday morning arraignment at Quincy District Court.

Larrondo, who was working as a night patroler at a sports camp on the college campus, is not in the country legally, according to the Norfolk County District Attorney's office. Two representatives from Immigration and Customs Enforcement were present at Larrondo's arraignment and put an immigration detainer on him.

The camp, MB Sports Camp, currently being held on Curry's campus, runs for six weeks and is for all types of sports for kids. There's both day and overnight camps.

The victim, who has not been identified, is an adult camp counselor and was familiar with the suspect, according to a statement from MBSC Management.

"We would like to express our sympathy to those that are involved in the situation and we hope that it is resolved in an expediant manner," the statement went on to say.

MBSC said in the statement they are supportive of the DA's investigation and are cooperating "100%."

Officials have not said where on campus the alleged rape took place.

If Larrondo makes bail, he is subject to a number of conditions, including having no contact with the victim, staying away from Curry College, surrendering his passport, and remaining in Massachusetts. He would be subject to home confinement and GPS monitoring, and he is also not allowed to do employment or volunteer work with anyone under 18 years old.

Larrondo is due back in court on August 22 for a probable cause hearing.

The incident remains under investigation.
