Developer Plans $70M Condo Building on Boston's Greenway

Real-estate development company Boston Residential Group has purchased 55 India St., a vacant lot on the city’s Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway, and plans to develop a 29-unit, 12-story residential building there.

Boston Residential Group closed on the off-market $12.7 million site acquisition on Nov. 13. The site is one of the last few developable areas that front the Greenway.

The majority of the units will include three bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths, Boston Residential Group CEO Curtis Kemeny said. The site had previously been approved to house a 12-story, 44-unit residential building. Boston Residential Development LLC pitched that project in early 2014, and received city approval later that year, but never moved forward with the project.
